After a year of riotous gigs Smilex launched their second attack on Quickfix Recordings, now streamlined and more refined with a double A-sided release, backed with self-produced B-sides and a remix by Oxford’s finest ‘Noize’ experimentalists Sunnyvale Noise Sub-Element. First up is ‘Mystique’ (recorded by Jamie from Dustball) a tongue-in-cheek pop-rocker in awe to the muse who drives rock and roll, the perfect balance to the vitriolic glam-rock stomp of ‘Sex for Sale’.
